UNFPA Representatvie and President of Midwifery Association in Timor-Leste declared a joint statement on the importance of midwifery in the country's health care system.
On the occasion of International Day of Midwives, Mr. John M. Pile, UNFPA Representative and Ms. Lidia Gomez, President of Timor-Leste Midwifery Assosciation (AMTL) highlighted the role of midwives in saving the lives of women and children.
