The Directorate General for Statistics today marked the Statistics Day, to educate people about the importance of statistics and promote utilization of data collected and published by Directorate General of Statistics (DGS). This year's theme is "Statistics Life Blood of Good Governance" was attended by over 200 dignitaries of government, development partners and University Students.
UNFPA supports the work of DGS through the provision of technical and financial assistance aiming to develop the Government's capacity to address Timor-Leste need for up-to-date and reliable population and socio-economic data.
