The Population and Housing Census 2022 is the fourth census to be conducted since independence in 2002 and the first-ever digital census for Timor-Leste. The Timor-Leste National Institute of Statistics (INETL), formerly the General Directorate of Statistics, implemented the Population and Housing Census 2022 under the slogan ‘Our census, our future be part of it’.
