Lorna Rolls

Lorna Rolls is the UNFPA Representative a.i. in Timor Leste. She has 17 years of experience in strategic programme design and management, strategic engagement and ICPD advocacy, advancing human rights and sexual and reproductive health and rights. She recently completed a detail assignment as Mongolia Head of Office a.i.

She has also served as Assistant Representative with the UNFPA Pacific. Lorna has worked with Pacific Island Countries and Territories, namely the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu to progress their national ICPD priorities and population and development, reproductive health, youth, and gender and GBV programmes.

Prior to UNFPA, she worked with the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in the area of Civil Aviation policy, and with the Secretariat of the Pacific Community in Sustainable Development for the Pacific.

Lorna is a Fiji national and holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies with the University of the South Pacific(USP), a Business Degree with USP, and a Certificate in Population and Development Studies with the University of Costa Rica.
